The Ultra Music Frontier from New York City and New York Free Music Presents

STEVE TINTWEISS SPACELIGHT BAND and THE PURPLE WHY at Forest Park and Lincoln Center Bandshells, Queens Library System, Aaron Copland School at Queens College, Jamaica Arts Center. 

Steve has played bass with Jazz greats Albert Ayler, Sam Rivers, Gato Barbieri, Perry Robinson, Byard Lancaster, Burton Greene, Billy Mintz, Rasheid Ali, Matt Wilson, as well as Van Morrison, and produced concerts for Debbie Harry and Blondie and many other musicians, bands, poets, dancers and artists.

In addition to numerous live radio broadcasts in New York, plus Las Vegas, Boston and South-of-France from Foundation Maeght, Steve appears on many new music/avant-garde Jazz recordings on ESP-Disk', Columbia, Japan Victor, Shandar, Savoy, Arista, Revenant, Water, Lonehill Jazz, and several independent media labels. He is the bass player on the historic Patty Waters Sings LP, award winning and Grammy nominated live sessions with Albert Ayler, and free-jazz pioneers Frank Wright, Marzette, Amy Sheffer.
